FAQ

Are there residence restrictions or boundaries that make me eligible to play for WJW?
We must maintain a high rate of Rocklin residents in order to continue to use Rocklin facilities.  We do take non-residents but if our ratios exceed what's acceptable then we will have to cut participants not residing in the city of Rocklin.

When is the last day that I can register my child for WJW?
Cheer registration closes at the start of the first summer camp.  However, to be guaranteed an opportunity at a roster spot, cheerleaders must attend tryouts in the Spring.

Football registration remains open until July 24th with practice starting July 27th.  However, clinics and equipment handouts will take place earlier in July.

Do you offer payment plans for registration?
Yes, payment plans are considered on a case by case basis.  To request a payment plan, send an email to treasurer@whitneyjrwildcats.com outlining your need and a proposed plan.

Why do you collect a volunteer deposit?
WJW depends soley on volunteers to make our program successful.  We ask that each participant contribute by working 10 hours during the season.  The volunteer deposit check is kept on file throughout the season.  Towards the end of the season, our Volunteer Coordinator and Treasurer work together to identify those participants who have completed their volunteer hours.  Checks are then destroyed.  If, at the end of the season, a participant has not met the volunteer hours requirement, their deposit is cashed and the money put into the WJW general fund.

Why has the volunteer deposit been raised the last few years?

We continue to have families who do not complete their volunteer hours.  The purpose of the volunteer deposit is not to have a source of revenue, but to encourage families to meet their volunteer obligations.  WJW needs everyone's help to make our program successful.  The volunteer deposit check is not cashed unless the participant has not completed volunteer hours in previous years.

I'm a high school student.  How do I become a student coach?
